Development Approvals

RJH Urban Planning has successfully taken a variety of projects through Site Plan Control, Zoning By-Law Amendments, Minor Variances, and Urban Design Review Panels. Many of these development approvals processes have required presenting at the Committee of Adjustment or Planning and Housing Committee, preparation of Planning Rationale, and facilitating Public Consultations with community members, city councilors and city staff.

The Spark

This 61-unit 9-storey rental apartment building required applications for Site Plan Control, Zoning By-Law Amendment to rezone the property to an R5C with site-specific exceptions, established an Encroachment Agreement, and present at the Urban Design Review Panel. As file lead, the RJH Team successfully took this project through the necessary approvals to re-establish good planning principles on a high traffic corner.
